Friends of Vrindavan distributes clothes to the poor widows and the needy women in memory of Late Smt. Rama Ben Davda and Late Shri Dwarka Das Bhai Davda. More than one hundred clothes were distributed in different old age widow homes and to the needy women.
The programme began with worshipping the photo of Shri Radha Raman Ji Maharaj. Addressing the gathering the Chief Guest of the programme Shri Sandeep Arora said it is a privilege for him to get an opportunity to distribute the clothes to these women saints who are spending their last days of live in the devotion to attain the Krishna Consciousness. It is the duty of everyone to support them so that they can peacefully spend their time by chanting the Lord’s name.
Guest of Honour Shri Bal Krishna Gautam said that Friends of Vrindavan’s services is well known for the ecological conservation of Vrindavan, but it is heartening to see that FoV is stepping in other charitable projects. He said that the tireless effort of this organisation is definitely praiseworthy.
Brahmin Mahasabha’s Patron Pt. Bihari Lal Bashishtha said that the widows find Vrindavan as their heaven. They don’t have to face problems as they used to face in their native places. They find all the facilities in the land of the Divine Couple. Therefore the social organisations like Friends of Vrindavan and the residents of Vrindavan have to become more responsible for caring them. It is important for the donors to identify the right organisations and then donate for the cause.
Vrindavan Today editor Shri Jagadananda Das, Shri Balo Pandit and Social Activist Shri Madhmumangal Shukla, Jagannath Poddar were also present among other FoV volunteers.
